Significance of the Seed

When we read the creation accounts in the book of Genesis, we instinctively recognize the Almighty speaking ex nihilo. Where there was nothing He pronounces life. We see this in what I like to call the God said accounts found in verses 3, 6, 9 and 14.

As we continue to read the grand narrative, we encounter other examples of the creative voice of the God of Holy writ.  Psalm 33:6-9

"The LORD merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and all the stars were born.  He assigned the sea its boundaries and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs. Let the whole world reverence the LORD."

Behind the creation:

This blog was created to help those who say, 'I don't understand what I am reading.' The goal is to help you to go beyond the words to the intent, which is to be in covenant with the One who enters into covenant with all of creation, by reviving and renewing interest in the Word of God.

Why we struggle to read or understand the Bible:

Another obstacle to understanding the word is finding relevancy in the text. Because the Scriptures were written more than 2,000 years ago, many believe that the ancient writings have no bearing on life in the 21st century. It is the faithfulness of God's covenantal promises that sustained the ancient hearers and it endures to this day.
